                                              A Little  Problem
Do you see the globe on the right of   this post? Look at how many people have gone on it. Only 182 visits! I know there are some blogs that never get anyone on their blog but, I have had a blog for about a year now so I would like to at least have anywhere from 300 visits or more by the end of the year. Oh, did I mention that I put that globe on my blog 6 or 7 MONTHS ago! I don't want to sound desperate but come on. I rarely get comments on posts and I only have 5 followers that are mostly my friends. Can you believe that the last time I got a comment on one of my posts was on February 26, 2011. Don't tell me that you wouldn't cry or at least feel really bad about that. I would really appreciate that people would take the time to come onto a blog, read a post by them and leave a comment. Wouldn't you like it if  someone did that to you.
I don't know why people don't go onto my blog maybe it's because people don't  have access  to a computer or maybe it's because they are way to busy to read a blog or maybe, and I  really hope this is not the problem, I'm a bad writer. You might say that I'm really not a bad writer but that's the message I'm getting from people when I look at my globe and see that only 182 people have visited my blog in the past 6 or 7 months, and I really would like to hear feedback from anyone in the world telling me how good or bad I did and how I can make my writing better. You don't even need to put your first name or any other personal information to do that. Now please tell your friends and family to come and give my blog a shot and if they really don't like it they never have to read one of my blog posts again. I hope you decide to came back and read a future blog post. Leave a comment! :)

                       The Time to Shine
Hi, my name is Jenny Hopper. I'm in seventh grade at GWMS ( George Washington Middle School) I don"t know what I should tell you so, here are just some random stuff about me. Favorite color- blue. Favorite day of the week- Saturday. My birthday- June 17. Siblings- Alley my 5 year old sister. Address- let's leave that one out. Well I don't know what else to tell you about me, so how about I tell you my most memorable moment, when I auditioned for the school talent show.

It was a sunny day, May 21 at 3:30 to be exact ( I remembered the day and the time, that's how important this was to me.) I had just gone to my locker to get my things for when it's time to go home. Homework, check. Text book, check. Planner ( to write my homework in), check. Once I put everything I needed in my backpack I went to the stage/ cafeteria, where they were holding auditions for the Annual GWMS Talent Show. I set my bag down under my seat, that my best friend saved for me. We weren't performing together if that's what your wondering, we were each performing alone.

As any other pair of BFF's would we talked sorry, whispered to each other as we waited for our turn to shine. Hey, I just remembered something. Did I ever tell you that we were having auditions because they could only let a certain amount of people in, you know because of time reasons. It's a shame though because there are a lot of talented people here, and I mean talented. One kid even rode a unicycle while juggling and singing Poker face by Lady Gaga. That kid is getting in for sure. Anyway neither me or my BFF have gotten called up yet which is a good thing because after you perform your supposed to leave, so that puts a lot less pressure on us.

The third to last kid that goes was great and you'll never guess what they did as their talent. THE SAME THING AS ME! I can't believe this I say to my BFF. Why? Because she is doing what I was going to do! I start to panic what am I going to do. Then suddenly it hits me! WHAM! Do you remember our dance, I ask my BFF. Yeah, why? Can we do that together for the talent show? Please please please! Okay says my BFF. Just in time to because the girl who stole my talent finished right after my best friend said okay. A few days later they say the results for the talent show. Mary Lue, John Lobster, Joseph Janeter and Jenny Hopper and Jessica Ser ( my BFF. ) YES! I scream. Talent show here I come!

LOL, OMG Added In The Dictionary

What is?! Why would Oxford dictionary allow OMG and LOL in their dictionary? This news is tragic for many horrible reasons. I found out these news Wednesday in class by going on Edmodo, a website, and reading the article my teacher found. On Edmodo we respond to the article by typing what we thought of the topic and then hitting reply. I read all of the replies and 47 out of 50 hated the fact that they put LOL and OMG in the dictionary. Most said that it would be ridicules to write a report and put those abbreviation in it. For example say you had to write a book report and your first sentence was OMG I love this book! Do you think that you will get a good grade for that!?

I personally think that if we put text lingo in the dictionary it will ruin the English language! Others think the same as well, and we are only in middle school! I would like to know why we can see that putting text lingo and slang words in the dictionary will ruin the English language forever and that grown adults can't. In the future if we use these abbreviations in everything we write or say, nothing will be professional anymore! Nothing will be taken seriously anymore! How would you feel if you were saying something important but, the person you were talking to didn't take you seriously? You would probably feel angry at the person, right? About a month ago I was doing this project called the Apprentice ( if you read a past post you would know what it is) in English class. I know that if my group used abbreviations when we spoke like if we said something funny and right after we said LOL, we would lose no question about it.

That is my opinion on the topic and I would like to hear yours. Thank you for reading my post but, before you go here is a link to a website that tells you about the topic http://tweentribune.com/content/omg-lol-makes-it-oed
Hope you liked my post! :)

              Holes

Holes is a movie about a kid named Stanley.Stanley  gets accused of stealing a pair of sneakers that was going to charity for them to sell. Really Stanley didn't steal the sneakers but, because of Zero, another boy, he is at Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is a dried up lake in the middle of a dessert where they make you dig holes five feet wide and five feet deep. It's Zero's fault because he needed new shoes but is homeless so he didn't have the money to but new ones. That's why he decided to take the ones at the charity. He didn't know it was a big deal though because he can't read so he couldn't read the name at the side of the shoes, which was the signature of a famous baseball player. That's how they both end up at Camp Green Lake. So they're both stuck digging holes in the hot sun with little to drink. Or are they?
holes
Holes is also a book, so if you like to read I suggest you read the book. Unlike most movies based on books the movie and book are almost exactly the same. I would suggest this book to you if you like mysteries, reality and adventurous stories. I really liked the book and movie so, if I had to rate it from 1-5, I would give it a  4 1/2. I would like to ask you a few questions before you leave my blog. 1. Did you like my post and if not tell me how I can make it better. 2. Would you like to dig in a dried up lake because you got framed for stealing shoes. And 3. Do you think you will read or watch Holes? If you do tell me how it was, did you like ti or not so much. I hope you do like it though cause it is a really good movie and book! Thanks and please tell your friends, family and anyone you know to come onto my blog! Bye! :)

School Uniforms  School Uniforms

Should schools force kids to wear school uniforms? As you know some schools make kids wear uniforms but, others don't. Should that change? Should all schools make kids wear uniforms, or should all schools let kids wear what they want? Of course appropriate for school.
I think that schools shouldn't have uniforms that kids would have to wear everyday. Many kids across the world would not like it if they had to wear a school uniform. Thank the lord in heaven that I don't have to wear a school uniform.I think that wearing a school uniform is a bad idea because the school would be so boring with everyone wearing the same thing. Also it would be hard to tell who is who which might cause confusion during classes. What I mean by that is that if the teacher gets mixed up with who is who the whole class will get confused as well and then that will cause delay in the students learning. Sometimes I wonder why would a school would even force children to wear a boring uniform, I mean it's like were're in the military.

That is just my opinion on the topic, so I would like to hear what you think, so please leave a comment. I would also like to hear what you thought of my post. If you didn't like my post please tell me how to make it better. Thanks for reading!:)

      Never Give Up

Have you ever been told you couldn't do something you wanted to do, like what your dream job is? Well a lot of people have. In the movie Pursuit of Happiness with Will Smith, Will Smith tells his child that he isn't going to be a professional basketball player because he wasn't good enough when he was his age. The only thing that did was crush his son's dreams and make him sad. I think that he was wrong to do that because just because you can't do something doesn't mean someone else can't. Also the person who was told that wouldn't go after their dreams at all. Then they will never know if he/she would ever accomplish their dreams.

I know for a fact that no matter what someone tells you, you should go after your dreams and never give up. If you believe you can achieve! When ever someone tells you you can't do something,  just say that over and over if you start to feel that their right, because their not.  Everyone can do anything that they set their minds to.  I kind of had the opposite experience of what I am telling you  when I joined karate. I wasn't good at all when I first started karate but, I never gave up because other kids in the karate class told me with more practice you'll be as good as a black belt. I wouldn't have stopped taking karate classes but, they helped me work harder to get better.

If you have had anyone tell you that you shouldn't try to accomplish your dreams tell me about it in the comment section. Also I would like to hear your thought about how my post, even if you didn't like it. If you didn't like it tell me how I can make it better. Thanks for reading my post.

                                            Good Luck Charlie

If you are in the age range from 6-12 years of age, possibly older or younger, you have most likely heard of Good Luck Charlie. This is a TV show on Disney channel. It's about this baby named Charlie and her family. The reason they call it good luck charlie is because in each show there is a problem and at the end Teddy, Charlie's older sister, videotapes her and sometimes others giving advice about what happened and how to deal with it, and at the end She or others say "good luck Charlie." On the picture at the right is Amy, Charlie's mom, Bob, Charlie's dad, Charlie, Teddy, Charlie's sister, Gabe and PJ Charlie's older brothers ( PJ is older.) There are other character's not in the picture such as Ivy, Teddy's bff, Spencer, Teddy's boyfriend or at least was, Emit, PJ's bff and Mrs. Dalfny, there next door neighbor.

I think that this is a great show for children, especially for children ages 8-13, maybe even older. If I were to rate this show 1-5 I would give it a five. I gave it a five because it gives use full advise, Charlie is adorable and this show is entertaining to me. If you like funny realistic shows unlike New Jersey Shore than I think you would enjoy this show. Here is a link to Disney.com on the Good Luck Charlie part of it.
